Ten Years, Six Global Brands: RK Wholesale Tyres’ Decade of Success!

Bringing over four decades of tyre industry experience, in 2015, Russel Meager, founder of  RK Wholesale Tyres saw a gap in the Australian market where there was a need for a tyre wholesaler with real world expertise behind it.

In 2017, Kubilay Kilic joined him, bringing over 20 years experience in sales and procurement to the business. He’s since taken on all procurement responsibilities and been a key driver of the company’s growth, helping build the supply relationships that underpin the business today.

A decade on, RK Wholesale Tyres holds supply chain agreements with six globally renowned brands, Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Yokohama, Hankook and Kumho, alongside a secondary supply network with Shandong Wanda Boto. That combination gives the company reach across both premium and value tiers, a position not every wholesaler in the market can claim.

“The focus throughout has been on tailoring solutions to both purpose and budget, whether that’s a retailer chasing a specific brand fit for their customer base or a workshop looking for reliable volume at the right price point.”

It’s an approach built on relationships as much as product, with the company crediting the backing of stakeholders, retailers, suppliers and staff for its growth to date.

“We’re committed to people oriented, sustainable development that fosters mutually beneficial cooperation,” the company says. “Our goal is to give customers unparalleled access to leading brands, supporting their growth and building long-term relationships across the trade.”

Looking ahead, RK Wholesale Tyres says the aim is to become the preferred supplier across a broadening range of products, backed by the same combination of industry experience and brand access that’s carried the business through its first ten years.
