Wire & Gas 2026
If you haven’t booked your ticket yet, now’s the time. Wire & Gas 2026 runs Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August at the Westin Brisbane, co-hosted by VASA and The Automotive Technician under the theme “Better Together.”
It’s the one event where you’ll find the latest technology, business practices and regulatory updates all under one roof, with real face time with the people who matter. Bring your team and make it your training event of the year.
On the program:
- AdBlue (SCR) emissions control diagnostics
- Modern automotive HVAC systems, with Clint Flower
- Vehicle security systems, with Scott Thomas
- Electrified diagnostic triage from 48V to BEV, with Brendan Sorensen
- EV and hybrid updates from an aftermarket perspective, with Jeff Smit
- Workshop productivity, with Geoff Mutton
- Industry cohesion, with our own Lesley Yates
Refrigerant licensing and the new Code of Practice
The Australian Refrigeration Council will be on site at the trade show, so it’s a good chance to talk through ARCtick licensing, permit conditions and current initiatives face to face. ARC’s Noel Munkman also joins a panel with Kylie Farrelley and Greg Picker on the HFC phase down and what it means for refrigerant management, alongside a dedicated session on the updated Australian Automotive Air Conditioning Code of Practice, VASA’s first revision since 2008.
ARC will also present the ARCtick Environment Award at the gala dinner, recognising an RTA holder for standout refrigerant management and compliance.
It’s a lean, focused couple of days with the people you actually want to talk to, not a trade show scrum.
