Seven suppliers, one award, and a fleet industry choosing its own winners for the first time

Fleet News Group Awards. Voting for the inaugural Fleet News Group Awards closes at the end of September, with the fleet and automotive industry choosing winners across categories including Fleet of the Year, Fleet Sustainability, Safe Fleet, Fleet Technology and Supplier of the Year.

Fleet News Group has covered the fleet and transport sector since 2011, and this year launched its first industry awards program, combining independent judging with direct industry voting to decide the winners.

The Fleet Supplier of the Year category has drawn a strong field, with seven organisations named as finalists including Bridgestone Australia, Kia Australia, Toyota Fleet Management and mycar Tyre and Auto, nominated by their own customers and business partners rather than through open entry. The category recognises suppliers helping fleet operators improve safety, efficiency, sustainability and service delivery.

Vehicle awards are judged separately using a Best Value Analysis framework, the same procurement approach fleet buyers use to evaluate vehicles for real world operation.

Winners will be revealed at the Awards Night on 14 October in Sydney, bringing together fleet managers, suppliers and OEMs for the industry’s first year of this program.
