Projecta’s Intelli-Grid GEN III and Intelli-IQ Smart Relays have both been recognised at the 2026 Australian Good Design Awards.

Projecta has picked up two Australian Good Design Awards for 2026, one for its Intelli-Grid GEN III 12V Power Management System and another for its Intelli-IQ Smart Relays. Both awards fell within the Product Design Automotive and Transport category.

The Good Design Awards recognise excellence in design, innovation and impact. This year’s program ran under the theme ‘Design that Leads’.

Intelli-Grid GEN III brings charging, power distribution and monitoring into a single platform, removing the need for multiple devices in caravan, motorhome and canopy set-ups. The unit combines an AC charger, DC-DC charger, solar controller and load control module in one compact footprint, while WAGO lever lock terminals on the outputs make cable installation quicker for RV manufacturers and fitters.

“The Jury was impressed by the system’s ability to manage multiple charging inputs simultaneously while providing intuitive real-time monitoring and control,” the judging panel said.

The Intelli-IQ Smart Relays, available in single and multi-channel options, bring programmable, digitally controlled switching to 12V and 24V vehicle systems. By replacing fixed-function relays and physical switch panels, they allow accessories to be controlled centrally through a smart interface, cutting down the wiring and dash clutter common in heavily accessorised 4×4 touring builds.

Paired with the Projecta 2″ Smart Display (P/No. IQD2), which connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, users can run auxiliary lighting and other accessories through the Intelli-IQ app, or through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay where supported. The judges highlighted the way the system consolidates relays, buses and switchgear into one integrated unit, along with its multidirectional mounting and improved installation efficiency.

Projecta Global Brand Manager Jake Smith said the awards reflected what the brand is working toward.

“Our primary focus as a brand is to develop innovative technologies that increase efficiency, convenience and ease of use for customers and end users, and I think that earning these Australian GDAs is strong affirmation that these goals are being achieved.”
