If you’ve been reading these magazines for a while, you’ll have noticed a few things look a little different lately. Same great editorial, same industry focus, but a new name in the colophon.

We’re Torque Media Group and we’re the new publishers of Auto Elec & Air Con Magazine Australia and Tyre Business & Workshop Manager Magazine Australia.

WHO WE ARE:
Torque Media Group is a Victorian-based independent trade media business, led by Mel Cahani and Aaron Frood. Mel brings close to two decades of experience in the Australian automotive aftermarket industry, with a background spanning Honda Australia, Philips and Motorcycling Australia, so the industry you work in is one she knows well.

We acquired these publications because we believe Australian auto electricians, aircon technicians, tyre retailers and workshop operators deserve a dedicated trade press that understands them, not one that treats them as an afterthought in a broader portfolio.

WHAT STAYS THE SAME:
The short answer is: everything that matters.

The publications’ 30-plus year heritage remains the foundation. The editorial independence stays intact. The technical content, the contributor relationships and the focus on real working professionals in the Australian trade, none of that changes.

What you’ll see over time is investment: in editorial depth, in the digital platforms around the magazines and in keeping these titles genuinely useful to the people on the tools.

WHAT’S NEXT:
