DBA adds coverage for three of the fastest growing models on Australian roads
DBA widens brake range for GWM, Jeep, Corvette. DBA has added new braking coverage across three vehicles as Australia’s vehicle mix keeps shifting toward SUVs, utes and imported performance models.
The biggest opportunity for local workshops sits with the GWM Tank 500 and Cannon Alpha. GWM recorded 52,809 new vehicle deliveries in Australia in 2025, up 23.4 per cent year on year, placing the brand seventh overall as SUVs and light commercial vehicles continued to dominate the market. DBA has expanded its 4000 Series range to cover both models, giving workshops an off the shelf upgrade for customers who tow, carry heavier loads or want more from their braking system. The rotors use high carbon cast iron for better high temperature performance, with a T3 slot design for improved initial bite and a direct replacement fit that avoids the need for a custom brake setup. The DBA43471 rotor is available now through DBA’s national distributor network.
Independent workshops are also starting to see more Jeep Grand Cherokee WL models coming through for their first major brake replacements. With around 3,300 vehicles now on Australian and New Zealand roads, DBA has expanded its Street Series range with new front and rear EnShield rotors, giving workshops complete pad and rotor coverage for the model from a single supplier. The EnShield coating is applied across the rotor surface during production to protect non-friction areas from corrosion, helping keep rotors looking cleaner for longer.
On the performance side, DBA has developed dedicated Xtreme Performance brake pads for the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z51, aimed at specialist workshops and enthusiasts. The semi-metallic carbon fibre pads are built to hold a stable coefficient of friction across a wide temperature range, supporting consistent pedal feel under repeated heavy braking as the model becomes more available through official right hand drive channels.
