Time Is Running Out to Nominate Queensland’s Best for 2026 Automotive Industry Awards

Queensland’s automotive businesses, leaders and industry professionals have just one month remaining to submit nominations for the prestigious 2026 MTA Queensland Industry Awards, with entries closing at 11:59pm on Friday, 31 July 2026 

Hosted annually by the Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland), the Industry Awards recognise the outstanding individuals and businesses driving innovation, leadership, customer service and workforce development across Queensland’s automotive industry.  

MTA Queensland CEO Rod Camm said the awards provide an important opportunity to recognise the remarkable achievements taking place across every corner of the industry.  

“Every day, automotive businesses across Queensland are delivering exceptional service, investing in their people, embracing new technologies and making a genuine difference within their local communities,” Mr Camm said.  

“The Industry Awards are about shining a spotlight on those achievements and celebrating the people and businesses that continue to raise the standard for our industry.” 

The awards recognise excellence across six categories:  

  • Small Business Award for Excellence 
  • Large Business Award for Excellence 
  • Women in Industry Award  
  • Community Award  
  • Innovation Award  
  • Apprentice of the Year Award  

Finalists will be recognised at Queensland’s premier celebration of automotive excellence, the 2026 MTA Queensland Industry Awards Gala to be held at The Star Brisbane on Saturday, 28 November 2026. 

In addition to industry wide recognition, each finalist will receive two complimentary tickets to the black-tie gala, including a three-course dinner, premium beverages and live entertainment. 

“The Industry Awards Gala is more than a presentation it’s an opportunity for our industry to come together, celebrate its achievements and recognise the passion, professionalism and innovation that exists across Queensland.” Mr Camm said. 

“If you know someone who deserves recognition, now is the time to nominate. We want to celebrate the businesses and individuals that continue to strengthen Queensland’s automotive industry.” 

Nominations close at 11:59pm on Friday, 31 July 2026.
