AAG 2026 puts NEV parts and remanufacturing in the spotlight
The 11th Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou drew more than 54,000 visitors from 93 countries and regions, with NEV components and remanufacturing among the key themes.
The 11th Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou (AAG) wrapped up on 21 August at the Poly World Trade Expo Center, with organisers reporting 54,219 visitors from 93 countries and regions over three days, up 7.5 percent on the previous edition. More than 1,800 exhibitors took part across 85,000 square metres of floor space.
Based in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area near the region’s automotive manufacturing clusters, the show positions itself as a link between Chinese manufacturers and aftermarket buyers in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and beyond. Russia, Myanmar and Thailand topped the list of overseas visiting countries.
Guangdong Automobile Aftermarket Service Industry Association Chairman Jiaoyi Xu said new energy vehicles were opening up new ground for the sector.
“As NEV exports rise, new opportunities are emerging for related aftermarket services and parts and components.”
Exhibits covered parts and components, accessories and customising, commercial vehicle supplies, replacement parts and remanufacturing. The parts and components zone took in chassis, suspension, engines and hybrid propulsion systems, with NEV motor pumps and electronic air pumps shown alongside ICE componentry from exhibitors including GSP, Luda and Wonder Halla.
First-time exhibitor Shanghai GKN HUAYU Driveline Systems reported interest from Middle Eastern and South American buyers in half-shafts and chassis components. Marketing Supervisor Chen Lu said new vehicle types were also shaping demand.
“In addition, the industry is also looking for a lighter, hollow driveshaft solution to meet the needs of a variety of NEV models.”
A dedicated Remanufacturing Zone featured technologies and equipment for engines, transmissions, electronic control units and starter motors. Jose Manuel Marin Avila, Manager of Laudin Internationaler Handel GmbH, welcomed the addition.
“Europe has a relatively mature remanufacturing ecosystem, and we were pleased to see AAG establish a dedicated Remanufacturing Zone.”
Organisers also hosted 48 buyer delegations for targeted sourcing meetings, along with 36 fringe events. Among them was the 18th Guangzhou Auto Parts Technology Forum, which looked at smart cockpits, connected mobility, intelligent chassis systems and autonomous driving.
AAG is jointly organised by Sinomachint and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai). The next edition runs from 19 to 21 August 2027. For more information, visit www.aag.org.cn
