Century Batteries extends Supercars deal to 2030

Century Batteries will remain the Official Battery of Supercars through to the end of the 2030 season, after the two organisations extended their partnership.

The extension was announced on 24 August, straight after the 2026 Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, round nine of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.

The partnership began in 2019 and will now take in Century Batteries’ 100th anniversary of Australian manufacturing in 2028.

Century Batteries will keep its place in the broadcast coverage through the Century Batteries Chopper Cam and Drone Cam, which provide aerial footage throughout the season.

Supercars Head of Commercial Craig Dontas said the extension reflected a shared commitment to Australian motorsport, local industry and talent development. He also pointed to the work Century Batteries has done with fans.

“In addition to these shared values and our valued partnership, Century Batteries has continued to innovate in fan experiences, from event activation and retail engagement to enhanced broadcast integration,” he said.

Dontas said Supercars was looking forward to incorporating the company’s centenary celebrations in 2028.

Shaun O’Brien, General Manager Automotive at Century Yuasa Batteries, said the company’s local manufacturing history made for a strong fit with Supercars.

“Century Batteries has a long history in Australia and a very proud commitment to local manufacturing,” he said.
